each month?
A vibrant A3 poster with information about the Musician of the Month. The poster can be displayed as part of a whole school or class display to promote discussion and learning throughout the month.
An assembly presentation to introduce the Musician of the Month. The presentation shares general information and gives children the chance to listen to examples of music and learn about the musician.
Weekly resources containing a mixture of activities to deepen and develop children's understanding of the musician, tradition or musical style. This always includes a knowledge organiser, videos, multiple-choice quizzes and two other activities linked to other areas of the national curriculum.
Video assemblies from Miss Cawley on a termly basis where she leads a 30-40 minute session. This can be watched by classes, the whole school or used as CPD for staff. The focus is on breathing exercises, musical elements, notation, composition and singing.
History timeline posters and geography posters to show where the Musician of the Month fits in both time and place, as well as where they fit in the context of other musicians within the cycle.
Extra learning opportunities including a monthly home information sheets, external links to further learning, videos, resources and a list of book suggestions that your school could purchase to supplement children's learning even further.
